In no particular order I am a daughter, sister, aunt, animal-loving homeowner, book-reading liberal, Arnold Palmer-drinking Ohioan; a lover of gadgets and puzzles of discovering and creating, an Eco-conscious optimist, a friend, an introvert and above all else, I’m a human—who believes in the Golden Rule.
I have worked in a variety of roles since graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College with a dual degree in English and sports medicine. My employment background includes a stint as a Disney Store cast member, administrative assistant, high school English teacher, tech writer, adult professional development coordinator and now I’m a freelance contractor doing a slew of different jobs. I regularly help maintain author web sites, coordinate social media, review books and help recruit bloggers for online book tours. I have also formatted ebooks, worked as a proofreader and assisted with SEO optimization. Recently I added to that list when I re-did the website for a dog daycare facility, including taking many of the pictures used on the site and helping the business owners with their social media and digital outreach. I’m hoping to increase my work with animal-related organizations and photography.
In my spare time I’m a very avid reader and an outspoken advocate for the importance of reading. I love crafting, and I putter in my flowerbeds when time permits. My variety of hobbies and interests have enabled me to see the world from different perspectives and integrate that into all the work I do.
I’m an animal lover to the nth degree. I have a chocolate Lab, Nestlé, a Labradoodle, Rufus, and four rescue cats, so working with animals comes naturally to me.
